Blogger Idol: Week 7
Brought to you by LivingRoom >> A space for Life
The theme for this week is Play.
Anyone who knows me, knows that one of my favorite things to play is karaoke. A year and a half ago, we bought our first TVStar player. It is amazing! Lightweight and portable, it plugs into any tv and projects the lyrics on the screen. It looks like a microphone and comes with lots of fun gadgets, like 'robot voice' or 'alien voice'.
We have a little over a hundred songs downloaded and our favorites change almost daily. Currently on my playlist: Summer of '69, Call Me, House of the Rising Sun, I Will Survive, King of the Road. Songs I would love to sing better than I do: At Last, Respect, St. Louis Blues.
Top 5 Reasons I LOVE Karaoke
1. It is something the entire family can do together.
2. It is always good for a laugh.
3. It helps the kids build confidence in front of an audience.
4. It is a great reading tool! Kids learn to read fast enough to keep up with the music.
5. The worse you are, the more fun it is!!
In the spirit of this post, I have been inspired to create a new website to showcase our talent. *I am using the word talent very loosely here*
Take a moment to check out kristyk: superstar!

You sang wonderfully! I love it!
Not one to perform in front of other people, Karaoke machines scare the living daylights out of me. But I enjoy listening to others!

Enjoyed reading your other posts from the week. I remember getting a dishwasher and thinking what difference does it really make, well, at the risk of raising the jealousy monster from the depths of sleep, it makes a huge stinkin' difference. And I'm the man in the house. Some of my friends have cleaners that come in once a week. We don't have that kind of financial backbone, but once, one of them hired a cleaner for an afternoon as a gift to us, well, Vun (my wife) was ready to sell the kids and hire a cleaner. Okay, I'm exaggerating on selling the kids, I'd do that before she would :)
Have a great day

It was great to see the normal look at a fun way to kids to learn to read better....... instead of a boring way.

I am wanting to start a business for kids.... but searching for some ideas to present to schools and daycares........ ? of cost too
